You’ll learn: how to light individuals and groups beautifully with one light source; her favorite camera settings based on subject matter; how to “see” the light you need to create truly stunning portraits, and so much more. Then, you’ll be able to see her in action as you watch her photograph a family portrait session live!
Monica’s Bio: Monica Sigmon opened her Williamsburg, VA studio in 2000, focusing on family portraiture. Over the years, she’s developed a style that blends traditional and contemporary elements. Her work has been recognized by peers and industry leaders, including being named a Sony Artisan of Imagery in 2019. Monica enjoys sharing her experiences through speaking engagements, covering topics like marketing, branding, and portrait techniques. She’s contributed to photography publications and podcasts, discussing both the artistic and business aspects of the field. Monica continues to explore new ways to evolve family portraiture, balancing creativity with practical business insights.
