About Earl Gibson:

Earl grew up on the South Side of Chicago, where his father gifted him his first Nikon Nikkormat acquired from a slightly questionable gentleman in a neighborhood alley. This Nikom changed everything. From early on, Earl felt called to highlight the strength, brilliance, and everyday victories of his community. Attending an all-boys seminary high school, he realized photography wasn’t just an interest – it was his pulpit. After hearing Duke Ellington describe the power of inviting someone to sit beside himon his piano bench, Earl understood that his camera held the same invitation. It was access. It was trust. It was an influence. And Earl decided it would be his calling card.

Since then, Earl has had the privilege of working around the world, witnessing firsthand the undeniable power of a single frame. Today, he continues to serve as a photographer for some of the most prestigious events and global wire services – still chasing light, still telling stories.
