Jack Fusco – “Celestial Cinema”

The discussion will highlight the importance of selecting appropriate locations and gear while emphasizing the critical role of timing.
Jack Fusco – “SoCal Under the Stars: Exploring Dark Skies Within a Day’s Drive”
Description: From epic Milky Way shots to stunning star trails, this talk is all about capturing the night sky close to home. Learn how and where to find dark skies, and learn all the essentials for capturing great photos of the stars. Join Jack Fusco as he shares his experience capturing dark skies in locations within driving distance of Los Angeles.
Instructor Bio: Jack Fusco is a professional landscape astrophotographer/time-lapser. What began as a way purely to document his travels as a touring musician, photography has become his main form of creative expression. His work has been featured by National Geographic, TEDx, LA Times, NASA APOD, BBC, Forbes and more.
Tom Baumgaertel – “Reimagining Reality Through Multiple Exposures”
Description: Join professional photographer and in-camera wizard Tom Baumgaertel—also known as @bewaremyfuji on Instagram—for a special presentation highlighting his body of work and unique approach to creating otherworldly images using FUJIFILM’s Multiple Exposure mode on X and GFX systems. You’ll get a behind-the-scenes look at his creative process, practical tips for setting up your own shots across the different multiple exposure modes, and a complete breakdown of the in-camera tools that make it all possible—no post-production required. Ask questions and dive deeper into his creative process.
Chris Howland – “Production Sound Basics – How to get maximum quality coverage with minimal set ups, taught by veteran sound mixer, Chris Howland CAS.”
Description: During this one hour lecture you will learn: effective techniques for sit down interviews. Choices you make in prioritizing your sound coverage. Sound Dept’s primary responsibilities. Workflow Basics -Timecode / Sync. Deliverables -Collaboration -Hard Skills & Soft Skills. How this changes from Doc Shoots to Narrative to Reality to Broadcast to Commercials. Booming vs Laving / Plant Mics / The approach to non-dialogue scenes. Capturing the intention of the performer. Capturing scenes in Cars.
Instructor Bio: Chris Howland CAS is a Los Angeles based Production Sound Mixer. Over the course of his 20 year career he’s progressed from intern to a busy veteran mixer. A member of the Cinema Audio Society, IATSE Local 695 and the Television Academy, Chris specializes in Production Sound for Episodic TV and Feature films. He has collaborated with some of the industries most notable filmmakers and loves to help organize the local LA Sound Community to provide mentorship and educational opportunities for new people coming into the craft.
Jeff Leimbach – “What to Shoot When There is Nothing to Shoot”
Description: This class is full of shooting ideas designed to get photographers out of a creative rut and back to shooting! There will be discussion about self-assignments, places too shoot, shooting on spec, and more.
Instructor Bio: Jeff Leimbach is a professional photographer, graphic designer, Canon Product Educator, and KelbyOne Instructor. As an architectural photographer, Jeff photographs 15-20 buildings and spaces annually throughout the US. He has moderated for Photoshop World, the Photoshop Seminar Tour for KelbyOne, and the Canon in Action Tour for Canon Live Learning. Other workshop experience includes being a staff instructor for Moose Peterson’s Digital Landscape Workshops and owner of The Digital Photo Workshops.
Mike Amico – “Macro Beginning the Journey”
Description: Join OM System Rep Mike Amico on an adventure to help you to see the unseen. In this class Mike will cover some of the equipment, techniques and features found in the OM System cameras that will help you begin to understand macro photography and what is needed. Mike will also give tips that you can use on your next macro adventure. If you aren’t a current user of an OM System camera, that’s OK! Many of these tips and settings will work with all camera brands!
Instructor Bio: Mike is a Technical Account Manager for OM-Digital Solutions Corporation representing the OM System Micro 4/3 line of cameras. Always having a creative passion for the arts, Mike Amico entered the Photography industry as both a trainer and a salesman. This is where he has spent the past twenty-five years of his life, observing many changes in both camera technology and processes. While Photography over the past few years has become more “creating the moment” and Mike enjoys this aspect of the art, he also tries to capture the moment the way only a photographer can. “Composing a scene through the viewfinder is an amazing feeling! Freezing the action and catching a detail that only I can see is what really makes me love the art of Photography.”
Will Cadena – “Versatility Is the New Niche: How to Turn One Client into a Career”

I’ll share my proven strategies for client retention, plus tips and tricks using cameras, flashes, and modifiers to stay creative and efficient in any setting. Instructor Bio: Will Cadena is an experienced photographer known for his ability to blend modern, edgy looks with traditional photography. He has a unique talent for capturing the perfect moment without relying on extensive retouching, creating a sleek and polished final product. A dedicated member of the PPA (Portrait Photographers International) and WPPI (Wedding and Portrait Photographers International), Will has led a variety of photoshoots, including national and international clothing campaigns, portraits, headshots, and public and private events. He is passionate about sharing his expertise and has been a featured speaker at events like Photo Plus NY and the Fundy Inspiration Workshop, where he has inspired photographers at Disney World. Will is also a Speaker & International Judge at WPPI and has spoken on behalf of companies at the Canon Experience Center. Will regularly represents and collaborates with major brands, including FJ Westcott, Canon USA, Wacom, and more.

Eric Bruehl and Karla Campos- “Mics, Cameras, Action: Setting Up a Professional Podcast Recording”
Description: Designed for creators, production assistants, and aspiring podcasters, this workshop breaks down the core techniques needed to produce a polished and consistent podcast setup in virtually any space whether you are creating a video podcast, an audio-only show, or both. You will learn how to professionally set up a podcast production using Sony mirrorless cameras, proper lighting, and clean audio capture. Topics covered are: recommended settings for multi-camera podcast recordings; framing and composition for two-person podcast layouts; simple lighting techniques to flatter hosts and guests (3-point lighting); microphone types, placement, and audio interfaces for clear dialogue capture; syncing audio and video for post-production ease; quick fixes for common issues like echo, cross-talk, and poor acoustics. You will walk away with a practical, repeatable setup workflow to record high-quality podcast content that looks and sounds professional from the very first take.
