Samy’s is pleased to welcome Boston Schulz to our 50th Anniversary Sale Event.

One of the hardest parts of music photography is truly mastering your camera settings as they can look vastly different between a live concert set and a studio portrait session. This workshop breaks down exactly how to adjust for each.

Starting off with a short classroom session covering the go-to settings for photographing live musicians and how to adapt to low light, changing colors, fast movement. Then you’ll put it into practice in a hands-on studio session: shooting a live musician performing, plus a posed studio segment, so you get to experience both. Bring your own gear or shoot with the newest Nikon bodies and lenses, provided for the workshop.

Instructor Bio:

Boston Schulz is a rock inspired music photographer based in Los Angeles with over 14 years of experience in concert photography. Dedicated to capturing the iconic moments of the stage, no matter the artist, Boston works with various local artists, agencies, and global publications.
