Join professional photographer and SIGMA Ambassador Liam Doran in the iconic Alabama Hills for a hands-on adventure photography workshop with Samy’s Camera. Work with professional athletes on a real-world commercial photoshoot.
Alabama Hills is known for its stunning rock formations, rounded contours and natural arches where over 400 movies, 100 television episodes and countless commercials have been shot. One of the most famous arches, Mobius Arch, almost perfectly frames Mt. Whitney, the highest peak in the contiguous USA.
This weekend workshop will begin with a sunset shoot in the Alabama Hills located in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada.
We will get up early the next morning for the best light possible and learn the ins and outs of how to make commercial and editorial quality imagery. We will shoot sunset and into blue hour as well. We will be shooting with professional athlete models as Liam guides the workshop attendees, from start to finish, on how he is able to produce images that appear regularly in commercial advertising and in today’s top outdoor magazines including Powder, Outside, Ski, Skiing, Trail Runner, Mountain Magazine and more.
Sigma Loaner Gear! A selection of Sigma lenses for attendees to use during the workshop.
